Introductions

Hello, I am Lynn Casey. Thank you for visiting me.

I am here because I process life out loud. THere is a voice in my head that writes, here in lies it’s outlet. I am in to the lens of adventure. Not the sky diving kind. Not the physical risk kind.  I am in to the daily “let’s seize our everyday walking around working, living, playing, creating, carrying out your calling” kind of adventure, and I never want to miss out. This everyday life is the adventure, I believe, for which we’ve been created.  Here I find purpose.

Off-beat people capture my attention. People that make you go, “hmm”, people that are deep and wise, people that give beyond my capacity, people who remake themselves, people who are “characters”, people who are givers. They fascinate me, and I instantly connect and want to learn more. That covers a lot of us, doesn’t it? I am in to possibility, after all it cannot be contained inside of a box. And yes, I am a woman of faith. It is my foundation and my freedom, the rock on which I stand. In it I live, breathe, exist, sustain and move.

I am not into politics, labeling and negativity. You won’t find that here. I am a grandmother of many boys and one precious baby girl. One of our grand boys is gifted with Down syndrome and our baby girl is a miracle. We have been touched by drugs, divorce, abuse, foster care, cancer, Alzheimer’s. I am blessed beyond measure with friends, family and faith. I love music, hosting parties, and creating experiences, not through the elaborate, but rather through gathering for joy. I have one sister, one son, an amazing daughter-in-love, and a best friend I call a brother. Then there’s my KH, my late-in-life love, my partner, my husband. He is one amazing man. He works in the pawn business and has some great tales.

My professional experience has led me through non-profit management, public relations, consulting, sales, corporate administration and small business start-ups. I am a Texas girl. I love the beach the open country, sunrises, sunsets and campfires with friends. I see the best in people, until I don’t…but I get over that, too. I appreciate humanness, and I hate labeling. I believe in introspection over blame. I love to learn, grow, create, try on new ideas and share. I teach leadership to teens and adults based on John Maxwell’s laws.

My dream is to travel. I have some, and want to much more. I want to experience the new and the people. My dream is also to write, and to publish. Yay, I did it! Dreams do come true!
